HELP! Flock is wheezing and sneezing, not responding to treatment

I would try to get her drinking, by offering a cup of water up to her beak often throughout the day. Dip her beak for a sedond if she doesn't drink. Some chickens with respiratory diseases may appear worse due to secondary infections or air sacculitis. Vet rx is not a miracle treatment as some think, but it doesn't cause harm.

I'm glad to hear about improvements:)

Penelope is around 3yrs old? Is she starting to molt, do you know when she last laid an egg? With her age she may have something else going on and the respiratory illness could have weakened her and she is struggling. It's so hard to know - even though she is not eating well, see that the crop is emptying overnight, feel her abdomen for any swelling/bloat or feeling of fluid, also check her over for any mite/lice.

See if she will accept her feed made into a mash, chopped egg, tuna, meat, etc.
If she doesn't eat soon, you may need to try to syringe or tube feed her - you may find these helpful

Yes, she was molting when this began, I didn't think about her immune being compromised. No mite or lice that I have found, however, I have recently started mixing diatomaceous earth and lavender essential oil spray as a prevention for little critters. I just tried chopped egg, we will see...(fingers crossed). One thing I will say is although she still sounds congested her comb is more red today, but flopped over. I really hope I don't have to force feed!

Thank you! Yes, she is drinking thankfully, but its her eating that has diminished greatly. Just took her some egg on the advice of someone and we will see if she goes for it.

Last Update: Two out of three of the girls made a full recovery and are back to normal. Penelope, unfortunately did pass two days ago. I feel like we did everything we could and I'm thankful for the two originals that we still have. I just want to thank everyone for the support and advice. It truly did wonders and helped tremendously in our efforts to save her. In the end I guess it just wasn't enough. She just went to sleep one evening, she could hardly stand, it was pitiful but I'm glad she's not suffering. Thank you again to everyone!
