Help for a newbie!

So sorry that you lost Wheezy. Did her beak have a bad odor? There are a number of things that can cause yellow gunk inside the beak and throat including fowl pox, canker, bacterial, and fungal infections. It is interesting that you have not seen any dry fowl pox in your flock. Hopefully, no one else gets sick, and all others remain healthy.
The vet said sometimes they get wet pox or dry pox. She had wet, all down her esophagus and on the roof of her mouth. Her tongue had become misshapen and necrotic. She said it wasn't uncommon to not see dry pox on the chicken. Im hoping she ate 'hot debris' and got wet pox and didn't pass it on. I checked my others, and didn't see anything, esp her friends and the larger one who would peck at her to keep her in line. I ordered some oxine and will disinfect each week for a month as recommended. I will keep watching, checking and keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
