Help! Hen found with collapsed egg hanging from her vent!

This morning she is not doign good. She didn't come out of her house, and I don't think sh has touched food or water in a a fe days maybe? She is super light and her crop has been flat for a few days now. I pule her out, and her feet are really cold, and she would hardly stand. I brough there inside and she laye flat on my lap and is having a difficult time standing without me holding her up. I am gonna syringe feed her water, and food. She won't keep her eyes open, and I don't know if I should let her sleep or not. She won't stay standing, I honestly am running out of hope! I know if she is suffering and not gonna make it, I am willing to put her down, but I am holding out a bit of hope. Any advice please! @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock @azygous @Overo Mare @Nabiki

Have you been giving her fluids the way that @azygous showed you? How much did she have yesterday? Tube feeding can also be done 2-3 times a day. But I would get her hydrated first before giving food. Has she been passing any more egg-like material? Are you still giving calcium? Sorry that she is worse.

I didn't syringe e her hate yesterday, because I thought she wa setting fluids. I am giving her fluids right now, and has been putting some food mash inside her beak and she seems to be more alert. She still wants to close her eyes and is acting very sleepy. How much water should I giver her? How much food?

Do you have a kitchen scale? If not, you need to get one and get a base weight. Report back.

If you are going to fight for her, she will need food and water. More than a few morsels and drops here and there.

I think it's past time for a tube. @casportpony Your thoughts?

All sick birds will be hypothermic and dehydrated. Get her inside where it's warm (80-85 degrees), get her warmed up, weigh her. If she is responsive *and* can hold her head up, tube 3% of her bodyweight in warmed fluids (14 ml per pound), wait 60-90 minitues and repeat if crop is clear or mostly clear, then do this one more time in 2-4 hours.

Hypothermia and dehydration *must* be corrected before force-feeding or tube feeding. Feeding a cold and/or dehydrated bird can kill it.

That you! I will see if I have tubing, She si being moved indoors, and we will work on it. I will fight of her, but she doesn't seem like she is fighting anymore, she is laying on her side, not standing, not holding her head up, and keeps closing her eyes. I think sh tis giving up. Thank you so much for this!
