Help hen having trouble breathing, pale comb!

Now I'm not sure if I got the right kind of vaporizer this is the one I picked up...

Read some more info about oxine again and went and picked up a cool mist humidifier. Not sure on amount of time to leave it on her. Left it on for around a half hour earlier... I hope that's right... Planned to do another treatment before bed. If someone could tell me how long to do Oxine treatments with cool mist humidifier and how many times a day. This is her 4th full day of tylan 50 three times per day... When should I stop that?

If you expose the patient to the Oxine mist for a half hour three times a day, that's probably adequate. I usually treat with Tylan 50 for five days.
Thank you for the info azygous... My eyes were going buggy reading through all the info again. Do you by any chance know about canker in chickens... Was wondering if there is always a foul smell associated? My chicken has at least 6 tiny yellow spots in her throat... They look almost like pimples... But her breath doesn't stink...

I haven't had experience with canker, thankfully. Perhaps there's no smell because of the low number of lesions. The Oxine should work to prevent the lesions from growing into a larger population and eventually clear them up. If not, you may need an anti-protozoa medication.

Has the oxine helped?

Canker usually looks similar to THIS. I'm just not sure what the yellow dots would be, but I do believe you said you had Metronidazole? If she does not improve with the Oxine and she is still struggling to breath, it may be worth a shot to treat her with that.

I do have metronidazole... Not sure if I should wait to see if the oxine helps. She seems to have fewer times that she is gasping but seems like that happens more so after she eats... I think. She still sounds gargly and sneezes but she is more active than before and eating some ( I put Durastat with oregano in her water... She seems to like it and has been drinking on her own since we started that.) I would hate to give her more antibiotics if I don't have to...
I read somewhere that you need to remove the humidifier filter when using the oxine 'cause it will filter it out and not work... I hope that's not true since the humidifier that I got won't work if the filter's not attached...

Not sure... It may be helping some... She's still weezing at times and still rattle but seems to be more active... Brought her outside for a bit to get some sunshine and pick around in the weeds and grass...

She does look a little perkier!
Sunshine is good, it's nice she is able to get out for a little while, that seems to brighten them up.
I'm hoping the Oxine will help her and she makes a speedy recovery.
