Hello. We are new hens owners and are loving our small flock. We bought these gals about 2 months ago from Tractor Supply. We have 2 Orpington Buffs and one had grown a crown (which I know hens can do) the other hasn't formed yet. They are same size, feet too. I havent heard this one crow nor attempt to crow. Any information and tips are great appreciated! Thank you everyone.

Congratulations! It's a BOY!
If you're allowed roosters where you are, don't be too quick to send him packing. I'm sure ill-mannered ones are out there, but so far, I haven't met a Buff Orpington fellow that wasn't either calmly cordial or downright social.
We were really hoping it was a hen. We don't want to raise chicks. I'm so sad.
