Hello,
I'm new to keeping chickens, and I bought this barred leghorn who was supposed to be a girl. I noticed that she/he has a very big comb already, at 4 weeks, compared to the other few chicks I've started to raise. I've also noticed that she/he tries to fly on the backs of the other 3 pullets I have, and I'm wondering if this is any indication of gender.

Thank you!

A better picture would be helpful, like a profile or something.
It looks like it could be a rooster but sometimes pullets develop combs quickly, my leghorns did, but my roo had a huge comb at 4 weeks, we use to say it looked like it would pull him over.

Leghorns come in BARRED?????? I seriously had no clue!!!!! All my Leghorn girls always had really big combs really early. In that pic the comb doesn't look at all pink so I would say girl.

Looks like a Barred Rock boy. My girls didn't have that big of comb at all. But maybe some girls grow combs fast but mine didn't, not at 4 weeks.
