Help Identifying Breeds

Wow I will now have to do so much reading on all of those. Am I correct I thinking the two that are black and white are the same breed and since one has fluffy poofy tail and the other does not but a comb and waddle is coming in that one is Male and one is female?

I would prefer to have one or two roosters. But I dont want to go buy a rooster particularly. I like the surprise and excitement. My kids want more chickens and we have the room but I'm also curious about the breeding capabilities of such a mixed bag. Would it be best if I were to get a few more of the same breeds or allow nature to do its thing over time?

I'd you aren't going to show or don't want to breed purebreds, than mixed breeds are completely fine. However, if you're going to hatch eggs, you have to be prepared for the 50% that will be roosters.

I'm afraid I won't be much help on answering that question as I only recently got my first rooster and he is 'servicing' a flock of 23 hens. But, I mainly got him as a hawk alarm and eye candy. There are still specific breeds I'd like to add so I plan to add them in a different way eventually that doesn't involve hatching out any fertile eggs courtesy of him. Of course, best laid plans have a way of changing.

So if I allow nature to take course itll likely be a lot more roosters? Also would a silkie have any issues with the other larger breeds?
