Help! Infected swollen leg [PIC GRAPHIC]

Would it be worth a shot to lance it? And should I go ahead and get Tylan tomorrow or should the Doxycycline still be fine?

And is there anything that I could do to relieve any pain she may be feeling? I soak it in warm water 2x a day and she really seems to like that but I didn't know if there was any more I could do while I am treating her. I definitely want her to be as comfortable as I can get her if the healing process could possibly take some time.

Thank you so much guys for your help. I really do appreciate it all!

If you are comfortable doing it, lance it if it is soft to relieve pressure inside the wound.
Doxycycline can be used for local infections and systematic ones like the label I linked to states. I am not sure what the proper dose for Doxycycline would be though. 250 mg doses for adult standard breeds are common with most "cycline" antibiotics. If that is what you have, and you have enough for a 250 mg dose each day for 5-7 days, I would try it. Mix 1/2 cup of Ocean Spray cranberry juice in a gallon of water. Vitamin C helps with the absorption of cycline antibiotics. They usually like the taste too.

Okay, I will do it tomorrow and update you guys on how it went as soon as I can.
I did a little research on the Doxycycline and found that someone had been giving 100 mg for their bantam. Since my pullet is a bantam, and a very petite bird overall I have been going with 100mg a day. Didn't know that the vitamin C in the juice helps with the antibiotics. Ill pick up some cranberry juice as well in the morning! Thank you!

ETA: I believe today was the 4th full day of being on the Doxycycline.

Okay. A Bantam. Oral antibiotics take longer to absorb than injections, so this may take some time. A well fed bird that is drinking normally will help for absorption of oral antibiotics. Avoid feeding any dairy and limit mineral content of feed to help with absorption. You're welcome about the vitamin C tip. I hope your chicken recovers soon.

Thank you again! It has been an immense help! Crossing my fingers she will be on the road to recovery soon!

Thank you for posting that info! I'm about to make an incision. Really hoping this can provide some much needed relief for her. I'll update you as soon as I can.

Okay so I just finished with the lancing if her hock. I tried to take pictures, but didn't have much luck, sorry! I made the incision at the soft part of the swelling. It bled, but the blood was very very thick and when it dripped onto the towel it was more of a purple color rather than red. I applied pressure onto the area and the swelling deflated, but the harder swelling is still there towards the bottom of her hock. I applied all sorts of pressure in hopes of getting some sort of pus, but there wasn't any. Overall I do think it released some pressure, and the swelling itself is more deflated rather than tight.
Did I not do something right, or is this normal in some cases dealing with lancing a swollen area?
