Well, you are correct! Sage the dark silkie is a cockerel!! He was crowing like crazy this morning and LOUD. I will have to re-home him. Thank you for your help!It's the large and developed comb and wattles at this age, plus the tail feathering is pointy, and going everywhere.
Pullets shouldn't have a big comb and waddles until they are at laying age, and even then, they don't get as big as his. Their tails are nice and fluffy.
