help me with funny looking chicken search that my kids will love?

Frizzle: Well there are different breeds, frizzle Cochins have feathered feet and are extra fluffy, frizzled polish have feathers on their head and sizzle (frizzle silkie) is cute with smaller head feathers.

Legbar: Very pretty blue eggs and beautiful head feathers and coloring.

Orpington: They can come in many different colors but I recommend them for their great personality.

Sultan: The perfect chicken. Head feathers and feathered feet with a great personality. They are harder to find than the other ones mentioned but I do believe a few hatcheries carry them.

Or, you could just get any kind of cute chicken and put a tutu on it!

Yaasssss! They are the queens of floof. They lay those nice light brown, almost pink eggs.
I want one sO BAD. sO bAd. My parents only want 7 chickens though and we are renting four...we've come to a sort of agreement that involves buying the 3 rentals that are laying eggs, giving back the other, and getting 4 chicks this spring, and none of those are salmon faverolles :hit

My cream legbar is pretty cool looking. I also have a crevecoeur, but she has so many feathers around her eyes that she is legally blind. Keep that in mind if you free range.

yessssss. They r rlly great birds.. I’ve always wanted one (and sebrights of course) but while exploring with different flock sizes, I’ve found that 8-9 works best for me, my egg income isn’t to bad (I’ll attach a pic from that one time when I realized I had to many chickens lol) but I get to have a satisfyingly big flock! I just want all the breeds now! The SF is at the top of my list for next-to-add. I just got 4 pullets tho, so I guess I can’t get more just yet! We talked about three more this fall but hatcheries don’t have any breed options this late. My recommendations (if you haven’t chosen already) are the Speckled Sussex (you have probably seen plenty of my SS rants already- they rule the bird kingdom) and the EEs! Perfectly wonderful birds that I love. I hope one day we both can have our SF dreams come true!

heres the pic from the day we no longer speak of: the day chicken math became a real thing In our household (I didn't cull the birds there was a predator incident later in the week which kind of was a blessing but also really upsetting, we lost 7 birds)

I-I--- that is a lot of eggs. My parents are actually concerned about TOO MANY eggs, believe it or not. They're used to our high production RSLs and white leghorn. Good thing 4/5 breeds I'd like (inc. SF) aren't very good layers!! (cochin, silkied easter egger (basically LF silkie w/ blue eggs) splash marans, easter egger, and salmon favorelle!)
