Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Chicken's feathers are falling off and not coming back.

My chicken started to lose her feathers about a week ago, and whenever a pet her, like 4 feathers came off, and now she has no tail! She is my favorite chicken. Online i read that at night, you can shine a black light on the chicken to check for mites.

You can check with a flashlight at night, at vent, under wings, etc. However, it sounds more like your chicken may be molting. Is she at least a year old?

she is over a year old and she finally got her feathers back. I have another chicken who is taking a little bit longer for her feathers to grow back, but I think she is fine so far.

I also have a chicken with bumblefoot. We took some of the plug stuff out, but I guess we didnt get all of it out. I hope my dad will get al of it out next time.
