My duck is a male named munch who recently became missing this morning There were feathers on top of the coop but I couldn’t tell if they were munches or one of my chickens because they both have the same looking feathers, there where no escapes but only top is side is open, munch is too small to fly yet and I am panicking there are feathers on its hiding area but that is most likely the chickens feather no blood signs but I don’t know what happened I live in Georgia

Hopefully he will be found, but if he was immature and unable to fly it is likely that a predator took him. Fortify your pen as it will very likely return.

Can you find holes in your fencing? Even small ones? You have to eliminate any openings you aren’t controlling, as with a gate or window. Sadly, we often learn these lessons the hard way.

Welp I don’t even know there are holes but those are burrows the duck hides in I’m not sure where it escaped or went, it’s been hours and no sign of duck I did call out it’s name I heard a couple of quacks but I never heard munch quack before. The only big holes I know are on the top side but it can’t reach it. I know it dug some small holes but it lead to nowhere. No signs of it being in the woods but is it hiding dead somewhere or laying down hiding somewhere we don’t know and it possibly can be roaming around I hope it comes back alive

:welcome :frow Hopefully Munch is hiding somewhere. Do you have a game camera you can put up. If there is a predator, most likely it will be back. Good luck...

I think they got attacked instead..The next day after munch got missing my chicken got missing aswell there were feathers scattered around and lead to the small forest..I never seen coyotes in this neighborhood it’s very strange but most likely they both got attacked but I got the other chicken inside and it’s living inside the house now it gets free roams in the house and outside, of course I supervise it outside because some predator might be stalking it

Hopefully he will be found, but if he was immature and unable to fly it is likely that a predator took him. Fortify your pen as it will very likely return.
ha..it’s been really a couple months…We declared munch officially gone, the next day after that my other chicken went missing. But now my other chicken has got a new buddy and has been thriving
