It's a good thing ducks aren't like exotic birds that learn to talk! Good job and glad you and duckies are okay!

What a fantastic Duck mommy you are. It is so heartwarming to hear a story with such a happy ending. And where the owner cares so much. I wish there was more people like you in the world. What a better world we would live in.

Glad you have a Happy Ending. NOW...remember Ducks WILL NOT COME IN...they need to be driven in. That was one of the reasons we do NOT have Ducks.

Winter is difficult. Ducks love water and especially a POND. They will stay out all night. YOU NEED TO DRIVE THEM IN. We had Call Ducks for many years. We had an electric Pond Master in our Pond that kept a large section open. BUT we still drove our ducks in at night.

Yay! SO glad they are safe! We have a small pond about 30 ft wide by 20 feet long. The first day it froze the ducks just jumped in and bulldozed the thin but frozen ice. With the human on the bank freaking out that they are going to hurt themselves on the ice or get stuck or whatever.....I can't imagine what you went through. Silly ducks just don't know what's good for them - or their oh so dedicated humans!

It is now in the 20's for the first time since I got my ducks 8 months ago. They are happily sitting outside - I am making regular trips to thaw the outside water (they have inside water which is warm and clean) because they won't go inside to drink the thawed water! They have me wrapped around their little ducky wings......silly ducks, but sillier humans~!

OK so first thing first, I am in love the woman in that picture!

2nd, just had the same thing happen when I went to pickup some ducks some folks didn't want to deal with thru the winter. Darned things wouldn't get out of the tiny unfrozen area left in the pond and we couldn't reach them. May have to go back a chip them out in a few days.

I read this on the edge of my seat, but I am so glad that it had a happy ending! Your ducks are lucky to have such a devoted duckmom!
