I would say at least 10 female quail for your male quail..and a bigger cage I don't think the one you have will work if you get more...if you want happy healthy quail there better together then separated by there self...bigger living space and more female quail so they can all be together and happy. the conditions there in right now arnt very suitable for something that would originally live in the wild they need space if you can't provide more space and more females maybe just keep the two females or give them a home and get a animal more sutible for your living conditions.those cages look good for a small bunny or hamster..I understand animals are fun to have but you got to think about what is best for them..

This is nuts.
She lives in a condo.
This is too big.
A simple 2 foot by 3 foot rabbit cage would work to give him more room, but more room isn't going to help the whole situation.
Both of your quail will suffer living alone/by themselves.
Exactly what I meant couldn't find a picture but exactly what I'm talking about. a chicken tractor would be another good option.didn't even look at measurements more for just a idea in a smaller form lol but yes way to big if I'm looking at measurements thanks for that catch:highfive:

I put them in two separate cages so that the male dosent overmate the female but they are next to each other so will they still feel alone?
Yes...This set up isn't going to work, I don't know how to say it any other way.
