Hi everyone,

I am new to this community and just started raising my own baby chicks 3 weeks ago.

While my wife and I are excited with this new endeavor, I suspect one of my baby chicks (a white leghorn) is a rooster as he/she is already developing a comb. I read on this forum that it is more common for white leghorn to develop comb earlier but i'm still very concern. The other 2 chicks (Australorp and Americauna) don't have any comb development at all.

Can any experts in this community help me out? Our city will not allow a rooster and i can't afford to wait 6 months to find out one day when (he) starts to sing!

I am attaching a few pics here for reference, perhaps some experienced chicken owners can differentiate better?

The size of the comb alone tells me cockerel, however i have never had leghorns and i know they are a breed with large combs.

All of my leghorns are female. Your pics look just like mine.
