Help!! Newly hatched duckling struggled

Hello. This is my first time doing this and he was struggling coming out the egg for over 40 hours so we assisted today and we got him out the egg but all he wants to do is stay curled up in a ball? is there something wrong? will he survive? please help)-:

There isn't much you can do, but wait. If he has a neurological issue thrn put him down, but if he starts walking around after 12 hours, your good! It just depends on how quickly he recovers, if at all.

That's my experience anyway.

I agree with Bryam, if he starts walking around that's good. I have heard that you can feed it a tiny bit of boiled egg but I've never tried this.

he’s breathing and sleeping, we made him a little nest in a paper towel so he can curl up in, it’s just my first time hatching an egg and i’m just nervous i guess. Thank you so much for your reply!
