It might have shown up better on a dark background but I too think it is probably a tape worm. Try not to freak out too much. Intestinal parasites are not unusual for animals or poultry that live outside and have contact with the ground. Learning to deal with them is the important thing. Can you check his poop for tiny worms. If he is shedding adult tapeworms then there will most likely be eggs being passed. You would be well advised to keep him off the ground and somewhere that you can inspect and dispose of poops until you can get him treated. I believe Praquizantel is the product to treat him with if this is indeed a tapeworm. Hopefully @dawg53 will be able to confirm as he has experience of dealing with these.

Thanks, you're right. I just have a thing against parasites and I don't want this to affect my family in any way. I'll have to keep him on his own and check his droppings then. I hope I can find the right medicine for this. Do you think I should treat ALL my chickens for worms? I mean, no one else seems to have any problems but still...

That is up to you.
I can tell you that if I had one worm in my flock I would treat the entire flock, for sure, with out a doubt.
The next person may only choose to treat the one bird.

Understand that not all deworming medicines are equal.
And not all treat tapes.
Is a vet an option?

A vet would be a very expensive option here. I can try for just one of them but for all...not really, no. I'm trying my best to check out medicines from the local pet supplies store.

Look for something that contains praziquantel.
Here in the US it is sold over the counter for horses.

You could take one bird to the vet and ask for enough medicine to treat the entire flock. ;)

Definitely a tapeworm. See how it's flat, I've seen these types of tapeworms before.
Give her some equimax and redose in 10 days. Most likely she has more of them in her guts.
I would be more concerned about the rooster that you described as having a cold; sneezing with stinky runny nose. That sounds like coryza or MG or probably both. I hope you didnt add the rooster into your flock. If I were you, I'd get rid of him right away.

She is not in the US.
Do you know if equimax is sold world wide?
