HELP!! Parasites?

It's a tapeworm. They get them from ingesting fleas. You may also find things that look like grains of rice. Those are tapeworm segments that have dried on contact with the air.
praziquantel is what you need to get rid of them. Sorry I have no idea of dosage for chickens.

Page 751 has the dose for birds.

Where are you located (ie-state or country?) We usually can help with what might be available wherever you live. I wouldn’t bother with fenbendazole for treating the tapes. It is a good dewormer for many other chicken worms that your chickens may get later, but you will need to use the praziquantel prefferrably, or albendazole (Valbazen) over several days as Dawg53 has stated. Ideally, you could take in some fresh dropping to your vet to look for what worms they may have other than the tapeworms. Only then you could use the fenbendazole if there are another type of worms.

OP is in another country and the only thing available is the Fenbendazole.
She is already seeing worm "stuffs" in the poop after treatment.

Hello everyone, again. Its been at least two weeks and the hens and roosters seem more than fine...except I found another worm in the droppings. *sigh*

So I guess this means its a different type of worm and I'll have to try again. I'm looking for the albendazole (I think I'll have to go with medicine for people, because I'm only getting fenbendazole for the chickens) but now I'm wondering if I really should attempt to de-worm them again.

I mean... I don't want to hurt their digestive system with another de-wormer.

What do you guys suggest? How long should I wait?

no, but it's the same worm as before. The medicine I got was a little powder packet with the fenbendazole. The guys at the feed mill told me it was 1/2 packet in the daily feed for 25 hens for 4 days. But it didn't work.

Depends on which dose the tablet is, it comes in three.

22.7mg, 68 mg and 136 mg

Eta: the above doses are tablets for dogs.

This is a great combination. Ivermectin kills most everything, including scaly leg mites. The other drug kills the tapeworm, as the Ivermectin does not.

I'm sorry. I don't think the guy at the feed store gave you good advice. You need to give them each a dose straight to the beak. You can't mix it in feed or their waterer because they won't all get the correct amount, as you see with the worms still coming out. Can you get the Equimax horse paste and a syringe?

Hello everyone again!

Their catalog of items finally worked (the website for the feed mill doesn't work and the last time I went to ask for tapeworm medicine they said they didn't have) and this is what I found:

They do have the Equimax so now I just have to check the price and if they have it in stock where I am, but I also found this:

(which i'm kinda angry they do have when they told me they didn't.)

and this which looks like vitamins.


SO I'd rather ask you guys now.

IF they don't have the Panhelmin and I can't afford the Equimax- would any other horse paste do ?

like this? How much Praziquantel should I search for in medicines? The chicks are a month or so old now- should I also give them medicine? OR just their mama?

Also would it be a good idea to try to get the vitamin for their gut? I'm very worried about their gut and my hens are losing a lot of feathers and vomiting a weird foggy white thing.

Also I have to keep them all in a coop (they used to free range but I think a flea outbreak we had recently like someone mentioned in this thread that fleas are carriers, must have infected them. We took care of it already though) because of problems with 'new' neighbors. So I'm scared they'll just keep getting reinfected with the worms.

What do you guys suggest?
