Please help! My pigeon laid an egg yesterday and she isn't sitting on it. What should I do?

Do nothing right now. Usually they will not start sitting until the second egg is laid. Expect another egg today. Is this their first time?

Yes I just got her but I don’t know if she has laid before from the previous owner

Good news! She is now sitting on her egg, she laid a second one, so I guess she was just waiting for that one. Is it normal for the male to sit on it too?

Yay! Yes, both parents will raise the eggs and babies. In my experience, males are better parents then the hens, but not always.
