It’s gone from 60 and up to around 50 but she’s always been just fine in weather. Today she’s just standing outside all puffed up and sadHmm, how’s your weather been? Any sudden changes in it?
I checked her crop this morning before she ate and found that it was completely normal. After a few hours with water and food it inflated a bit and felt air-filledCheck her crop to see if it is enlarged and hard or puffy, and again in early morning before she eats or drinks when it should be empty. A long standing crop problem or cancer would be 2 things that might cause weight loss. If you lose her, it would be good to do a necropsy on the body. Azygous has a good article on crop problems:
