HELP! Rehabilitate a sick chicken/ Legs and Balance

Oh, I'm so sorry she has deteriorated but there is hope of a recovery as long as she is still eating. So pleased she is enjoying the egg. They provide good nutrition for sick birds. Are you also using a vitamin supplement like Nutri Drench or Poultry Cell or at least a human vitamin B complex supplement. If not, I would recommend doing so. Nutri Drench has added essential amino acids I believe which can give them a boost. Rooster Booster Poultry Cell has Riboflavin where Nutri Drench does not, so there can be some benefit to using that one over Nutri Drops for neurological problems like this. Using both and alternating them day in day out would probably be the best of both worlds.
I just wanted to let you know she passed away :(.. Thanks for all the help!

So sorry for your loss. Are you interested in getting a necropsy to test her for Mareks disease? If so, the body should be refrigerated and stored in a plastic bag (do not freeze.) In this link you will find information and contact numbers for your state poultry vet and labs that will instruct how to deliver the body and costs:

Hi Wyorp Rock,
Her tongue was pink but the tip looked brown. She didn't have scabbing under her wings. She just pass a few minutes ago. She had slow difficult breathing and then died. I'm sad but at least she is no longer suffering. It was so strange she seem to be getting better and then it was all down hill from there. I will miss her. She was precious to me. :hit
I'm so sorry:hugs

I know it's hard, but I agree. To find out what was going on with her a necropsy is a good idea.

I'm so very sorry you lost her. It can happen like that with Marek's and I know how heart breaking it is when you have tried so hard to support them and make them better. The respiratory problems can be as a result of a tumour or secondary infection as a result of the virus suppressing her immune system, if it was Marek's, but the only way to find out is via a necropsy and lab tests. Some states lab facilities are very cheap or even free for this service whilst others are more expensive but still considerably cheaper and more knowledgeable than a private veterinary practice. It does help to know what you are dealing with so that you can plan and manage your flock to reduce the risk not only to your own birds, but also other peoples.
