Help! Running out of options!

No yogurt it is! Come to think of it I remember telling clients no cheese with tablets to their dogs. Duh KP! Good call Kathy. Thanks everyone for the 'should of had a V8' moment.

Vet preferred orally only because she's so thin at it is she doesn't want to risk a site infection. Her immune system is pretty shot so if she were to get that she'd be done for sure.

So I will stick with mashed strawberries then? She tends to enjoy that more than anything else I've given her thus far. I gave her the first dose and she did better than I thought she would. I went really slow only a few drops at a time.

Like I said I know this is a long shot specially with her crop being as it is but I'd feel bad if I didn't give it a try. She's really a neat bird and so talkative. At least I know what to look for and how to go about treating if someone else's comes up sick.

Thanks again everyone for the responses and support. It's much appreciated.

Needless to say she's not digging this whole Baytril thing. I tried feeding her before her treatment but she wanted nothing to do with me. She's mad. She fought me a lot more today on giving it to her. I mashed some strawberries and she just looked the other way. This is going to be like force feeding a kid veggies they don't like

I hope she gets over herself! I constantly have to remind my chickens, "I'm here to HELP you! Stop FIGHTING me! Aaaarrgghhh!!!"

I've had moments I've yelled at my birds. I'm not proud of it.

Bad news fans.

We lost Dotty this morning. I went to check on her and she was curled up and stiff.

It wasn't cold enough to perform a necroposy on her for cultures and Vet is positive that it was EYP. She was surprised she went as far as she did.

So now I'm watching all the other girls and hope that it doesn't get anyone else.

Thank you for everyone's advice and guidance. It was much appreciated. I'll let you know if anyone else gets sick but let's hope not!!!
