Help scalped hen!!!

Update. I witnessed the BO cockerel being too rough so my husband culled him Friday night. The silkie rooster doesn't appear to be mating the girls yet. We received a big 4 ft dog crate I had ordered earlier and set it up in the coop for our injured hen. She seems content in there much happier than when she was in the garage. I'm still doing triple antibiotic twice a day and the wound is noticeably smaller. The flap of skin is starting to die off but I expected that. The rest of the flock hangs out with her quite a bit so I'm hoping we won't have issues reintroducing her when she's healed.

Thanks for the encouragement!

My sweet little injured pullet laid our very first egg today! She must not be too stressed out in her hospital cage.

It's a week and a day now since my pullet was injured. She's doing so well. Laying everyday for the past 4 days, and her head looks 75% better. There no flap anymore just a small wound a bump where the flap was. I'm still doing the ointment and no signs of infection. The big cockerel that hurt her is no longer with us but we do have a silkie cockerel who I don't think is mating anyone yet.

How long should I keep her separate? She's in a dog cage in the coop and really wants out with her friends. I do let her out by herself in the coop for a little bit each day and also with her friends for like 10-15 minutes each evening supervised while I start locking everyone in for the night.

Do I have to wait till it's 100% better? Temps are supposed to drop here in Mi on Wednesday and I worry about her sleeping by herself when it gets into the teens at night then. I could just let her with them at night maybe when it's colder I guess....
