First time chicken owner and worried about one of my chickens.
Sunshine (5 months old, not laying yet) has kept her left eye shut all day today, opens it very rarely, barely and only for a second. She has also been laying down for most of the day for the last couple days. I saw her pecking around this morning (with her closed eye) and I think she is still eating and drinking. The other day I saw a long line of spit come from her and she sneezes from time to time. Do you think it might be a respiratory infection? We also had a very sweet chicken who was blind in one eye, she and sunshine hung out the most, but was sadly killed by a raccoon 3 days ago. Might be stress related? Any help is appreciate! Laying down a lot, usually separate from others
Sneezes occasionally
Spit the other day (havent seen since)
