Help! Something wrong with my rooster

Do I went out of town and someone just watered and fed them. His eyes were covered in like like crusty dry stuff. I just cleaned them and put lotrimin on it. Would this be like the favus drying off or mite egg dust? Or his skin dry and peeling like dandruff. It was just around his eyes and ear aka where I was putting the lotrimin on

One side looks better than the other.
Does the skin look like it's healing better with the use of Lotrimin? How often have you been able to put that on?

I would re-check him for lice/mites too. It may be a good idea to treat him with some poultry dust.

Before I left I put it on every night. I went out of town for my grandfather’s funeral. The left side had more gunk. His skin looks pretty good minus this crusty stuff. I bought some de earth just for him in a little thing I’ll reapply tomorrow night. He’s still eating and drinking well and his poop still looks good.

I would keep working on it.
DE may help if there are mites/lice, but if you see an active infestation, the a Permethrin based poultry dust/spray will be more effective.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather.

Thank you he made it to the big 80 birthday. Unfortunately my rooster went as well he got better and I put him outside a happy fellow(separated from the others.) He kept staying outside his bed and it snowed(shockingly) and he went in the night. Knock on wood all of my other chickens and look good so far.
