Help wanted - Quail missing leg!!

Just toenails missing, but her legs are pretty much unusable. I guess the cat did it whilst trying to pull her legs through the wire.
I say put them both down.
Can you imagine the pain they must be feeling.

Would Poultry Nutri-Drench in their water be helpful to any extent?
I have to ask...do you really think they is a chance this guy is going to pull through?

:(

I know they’re hurting... I wish I could fix it! :barnie I really really really don’t want to put them down, but I already know it’s the best option- sadly.

They have got to be feeling just miserable. I really think it would be best.
It hurts to look at the poor guy.
It's almost just wrong to try to keep him alive.

No they leave him alone for the most part, he’s in pain, and I know I should cull him but I really think he might make it

Yes. If it does end up getting really infected and he gives up, I will change my mind.
I'm glad you are willing to make the decision if need be. I had a hen with a prolapsed vent of whom I tried everything to save her. This went on for a week, and she was in pain.
But sometimes we just have to stop the poor thing from suffering.
The next time I got a chicken with the same ailment, I realized I did not want the same thing to happen to her. I didn't want to end her life, but I would feel more guilty letting her live like that. So I made the decision I felt I should have made the first time, to put her down right away.
I want you to know that whatever decision you make is a good one, Kayla, and you have my full support.
