Can you post a picture of it? A healthy duck penis is white, so if you cleaned it really well and it's still brown that probably means the brown part is dying of dead and needs to be removed.

Desitin contains zinc oxide, which is toxic to birds, so do not use it. Ideally you want to use a water soluble lubricant, but if you can't find that, use Neosporin.
