Help! What is coming out of my ducks butt?!

Can you take her to a vet? Looks like it may be a cloacal prolapse, Is this duck a regular layer?

Thanks for the reply. We just got this duck in March and she has not layed yet.

If she was born in march, she should be laying anytime now, so she may have an egg stuck. Is a vet an option?

Yes, probably going first thing in the morning.

Great. In the meantime, keep her in a clean area away from flies, and on towels so nothing sticks to it.

She seems to feel ok. I brought her inside but she keeps sitting in the water pool. As in, does not want to get out of the water. She never sits in her kiddie pool outside for this long .... any ideas if this means anything as to her condition ???

Looks like prolapse... I would make an epson salt bath 1 quarter cup salt to 1 gallon WARM water, mix it well and keep her in it for about 20-25 mins to clean her so there won't be any infection tonight before you go to the vet in the morning.
it will also sooth any pain she might be in etc.
