We recently had a cold snap in southern NC. At first I thought somehow they got frost bite. We wrapped the coop & put in a ceramic heater on low, just enough to take the chill off. All the other girls seem fine. Started about 1 week ago. Suggestion & advise would be greatly appreciated.

It could be frostbite or pecking injuries, but it looks dark like frostbbite. They usually don't get frostbite all over the face and head though. I can't see the second picture that well. You may want to apply some bacitracin or plain neosporin ointment to their darkened skin, wattles, and combs. More picture would be welcome. Frostbite may occur when the skin gets wet during freezing temperatures, or if the humidity is to high. Make sure that you have ventilation over head to help rmove moist air.

Looks like terrible frostbite and i think i see dried blood on there face.Pics of the inside of your coop would be very helpful.
