Help With Father's Day? Please?

I really can't afford that, a good one is pricey.

I honestly don't think he'd take the time to use it anyway. He is ALWAYS working! He doesn't do the normal "dad relaxing on a Sunday" thing, AT ALL. Like I said in an earlier post, this is the first time I can remember him even stopping to enjoy a Father's Day. It's a good idea though Deb, thank you anyway.

I don't have a dad, so I never had to ponder these things much growing up. Booze was always an option for my ex.

Ken needed the grill last year, other than that, we kinda think "well you aren't MY father, soo...." and do a card.

So my input here is over.

The grill sounds like an AWESOME gift for Ken. It would be a great gift for *most* men I would think. My dad is lame though, he doesn't take the time to have any fun. I seriously suspect cold beer would be my best bet.

Thanks Deb, I appreciate you trying to help!

Well then its obvious get him some chicks of his own.....and you better get pics together somehow. Have a stranger take them if you have to....I have always-ed liked that when people have some random person take their picture. Don't know why.

Thats funny! It sounds like my dad! Right down to the sand paper!!!! (but he dont like beer, lol)
We were going to get my dad a hamoc (sp), But we dont have the $ right now. So us kids are taking hime out on Sat, with a friend of ours, to go caonoing.
Then we will have a nice family BBQ, on sunday. You could take your dad out and just hang with him! I think dads want us to love on them more then buy them stuff.
I hope i helped. Ether way, Have a Happy Fathers Day with your Dad!!!

Chicken Girl

A hammock is a good idea too! At least he'd lounge it in long enough to enjoy his cold beer.

But I suspect that's out of my price range. I've wanted one forever, and every time I think maybe I'll get one, I see the prices and remember why I don't have one!

One of my husbands favorite gifts ever was a wireless meat thermometer. You put the probe in the meat and carry the part with the readout on your belt or put it in the house. It will alarm when the meat reaches the correct temperature. Brookstone has them, but sure you can get them other places.

My hubby didn't like the beer kit that much. He really loved the alcoholic pear cider kit he got - it turned out really nice.

I have friends that make beer, but I have no idea if they use a kit. Pear cider sounds DELISH!!!

Hmmm... you might be onto something there! He LOVES money. Anything along those lines would be pretty welcome I'd think. Is that something you can get at a bank or do you have to order them? I don't know much about them....

Can you make beer in a day? It would be a fun thing to do together, but he'd probably never touch it again after that.

I remember he made wine when I was a kid, but he dropped it pretty quick. Not sure if it didn't come out good or if he didn't enjoy it or what.
