Help With Father's Day? Please?

I don't have a dad, so I never had to ponder these things much growing up. Booze was always an option for my ex.

Ken needed the grill last year, other than that, we kinda think "well you aren't MY father, soo...." and do a card.

So my input here is over.

The grill sounds like an AWESOME gift for Ken. It would be a great gift for *most* men I would think. My dad is lame though, he doesn't take the time to have any fun. I seriously suspect cold beer would be my best bet.

OH WOW!!! What about a beer making kit? And you guys can do it together while you managed to get some time with him. yeah I said I was done, but I also said I stalk your posts.

A hammock is a good idea too! At least he'd lounge it in long enough to enjoy his cold beer.

But I suspect that's out of my price range. I've wanted one forever, and every time I think maybe I'll get one, I see the prices and remember why I don't have one!

My hubby didn't like the beer kit that much. He really loved the alcoholic pear cider kit he got - it turned out really nice.

I have friends that make beer, but I have no idea if they use a kit. Pear cider sounds DELISH!!!

Can you make beer in a day? It would be a fun thing to do together, but he'd probably never touch it again after that.

I remember he made wine when I was a kid, but he dropped it pretty quick. Not sure if it didn't come out good or if he didn't enjoy it or what.
