Help with Identifying EE’s and Barnyard Mixes?

Hello all!

This is our first go with chickens, and these guys are mixes, with parents including EE’s Ameraucanas, olive eggers, and some others. They’re all 12 weeks old. We just want eggs for the family and so didn’t mind what breeds we got too much, but we do need to re-home some extra roosters, and I’d like to be able to give an accurate description of what these guys are.

Any thoughts?

Chicken #1 (pretty sure he’s a cockerel)

Chicken #2 (also think he’s a cockerel, but less positive)

Chicken #3 (this one was sold to us labeled as a barnevelder, and we’re just not sure if he’s a roo or not)

Chicken #4 (hoping this one is a pullet! But has a bigger flesh colored comb, so unsure)

Best!

#1: He is handsome! Everything about him says 'Roooooo'

#2: Hmm.. 😕... The saddle feathering doesn't scream cockerel to me... The stance is more timid. Meh... This one could go either way. 🤷‍♀️

#3: Um... (slow shrugs) The red says 'boy' but barnevelders or mixes with them-- Well, I found this.

#4: Like #2, this one could go either way. 😆 There seems to be more curl in the saddle but it seems this one has more curl to the feathers everywhere.

For breed descriptions, you gave the correct answer yourself:

these guys are mixes, with parents including EE’s Ameraucanas, olive eggers, and some others.

They are probably not purebred-anything, and you couldn't prove it even if they were, so "mixes" with a list of possible parents is the most accurate description you could possibly give.

Thank you very much, and that link is super helpful! Looks like it’s tricky to sex Barnevelders! We’ll wait a bit longer with him, but we are pretty sure he’s a cockerel (thanks to all who have helped to solidify this!)

Ok, thank you very much! I’ll do that then when listing them.

And thank you again everyone for your help here! So thankful, and hoping that chickie #4 is in fact a pullet, gives us hope that some people here think she might be. Her name is Daisy, she’s the smallest of our group and just so sweet. So we’ll see with her I guess!

Thanks so much again for everyone’s help!
