Help with incubating baby button quail....

Today is day 17-18. I have 2 quail hatched and another 1/2 way out:). I do not see any pips in the other 4 eggs yet? Is this normal?

I dont know anything about quail, but i know with chickens the day after hatch day they could still hatch. They generally give up after 3-4 days. If you think its time, you can open the air cell a bit to see if they are still moving.

You could take them out and candle the eggs. They don't look right when they have died. You'll either see the baby's head in the air cell - if it isn't moving (wondering who turned on the light) it has died after pipping internally. Watch for a moment to make sure. If it's died before that you won't see veins and there will be a band of pale yellow liquid just below the air cell.

Hopefully there are some that are just late to the party. Sometimes incubators have cold spots which slows down development.
