My 1 year old chicken has not been laying at all, barely eating and drinking and she has watery poo. I've looked up some sickness about this and all her symptoms add up to egg bound. I am a first time owner and I don't know what to do. Giving her a warm bath for 15-20 minutes didn't work. Should I take her to the vet? This has been going on for 3 days now.

Feel inside her vent an inch or two with one finger, and if she is egg bound you may feel the egg. Make sure that she is drinking plenty of water, and give her some extra calcium one time--either a calcium tablet, a Tums, or grind up some egg shells and give in some yogurt. There are many other illnesses besides egg binding that could cause these symptoms. Look her skin over around the vent, under wings, and the neck for tiny lice or mites. Feel of her crop, and describe if it is full and hard or soft, or empty. Add electrolytes her water and offer some chopped egg or tuna. By all means, if nothing seems to add up, a vet would be helpful. Heart, liver, or kidney disease, internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis, and coccidiosis are some of the common problems in chickens. What color is her poop? Here are a couple of articles to read:

Her poop is a clear and runny and I felt for an egg but there was no egg. Would you know what sickness she has? All she does is sleep, she barely moves even to get her favorite treats. She won't drink or eat anything. Her crop is soft and squishy.

She could have a crop problem if her crops doesnot empty by morning. Coccidiosis could be a problem, but many of these problems are hard to pinpoint.
