I had 2 in my last batch that were malpositioned and I lost them bot because I went through the air cell and their yolks were exposed. Hopefully next time I will be able to tell better if one is malpositioned. How do you figure out where the bill is to pip the egg if they are malpositioned?
That's the hard part, justme. Lots of times, they have their head under their wing and you can't see anything. You throw a Hail Mary and hope for the best. Wish I had a more scientific answer for you. If you have a GREAT candler, you could MAYBE see that way-I just don't.
