there are lots of days when I don't get anything accomplished.
but I have accomplished so much in my lifetime, that I figure I can coast once in awhile..
just consider the wasted day a vacation and move on..
 
Hi all,
in about an hour we will be leaving to pick up the "new" jointer.
this feels like Christmas to me. I have been wanting one for many years..

My brother called me from his deer stand.
he is freezing his keester off. saw only one buck , but it was at full throttle a hundred yards away.
nephew watched a pair of wolves go by trailing two small deer.
he was really impressed at the size of those wolves..

made it home just now with my "new" used jointer. It is in such good shape that I didn't even bother to dicker price. got an extra set of sharpened knives and 2 push pads with it.
and it turns out to be a 3 blade instead of 2
...makes for smother cuts..
I don't know how much it weighs, but us two old guys could not lift it.
we both lifter one end onto the tailgate and then got on the other end and lifted it up onto the truck.
I will unload it tomorrow with the tractor and loader..
it has nice wheels on the stand and rolls quite easily..
can't wait to try it out on some rough cut oak..

Today i made the last side of the solar water heater. Just have to trim a bit and attach the door with the hinges. Shopping for pvc pipe for the vent tomorrow. Among other things!:lau
