thanks Molpet,
interesting video.
however, I am not supposed to use one of those because of my pacemaker.
In fact, the Dr. and some technicians just about flipped when I told them that I was using a chain saw.. I am not supposed to even run electric wood working machinery.
so far none of those have killed me.
I imagine a large HP electric motor would do some harm.

we have six inches of new snow on top of the 1/4" of frozen rain that fell last night.
I wanted to go get some LocTite Red, but that can wait for another day..

so today I spent a while watching U Tube.
getting pointers on how to do turning on the lathe, and also how to make some extra attachments .

no TENS for you, that is for sure

Yeah Molpet, I am living right at the edge, just a heartbeat from the end.. LOL

Annie just told me that the official snow fall was 9 inches.. and there are ten more to come yet.. I plowed the driveway.. it was still snowing. at one point it was almost a total white out. I couldn't see the side road just a couple of hundred feet from our driveway..
It looks like I will get to do it all again.

Yesterday i dug out three holes for the lean-to posts. But all 3 need to be deeper. So i will be back at it tomorrow. Rain tomorrow night. So i had better get at it early.

let it rain first. that will soften the ground.

the weather guy said we got 9 inches of snow.
now the good news: ten to eighteen more on the way..
everything is cancelled for tonight and tomorrow.
I am sure glad I plowed today. I don't know if Ollie could push through that deep of snow.?? 9" from last night, plus what ever is coming tonight.??
It's been years since we got so much at one time.. the one time I remember, we were snow bound until 3 days later..I didn't have a tractor back then.
I remember coming home. drove into the driveway and the snow was sliding up over the hood of my car and parting at the windshield and falling off to the sides.
that car was a heavy old 1955 Cadilac.

I bet you wish you still had that car!
The soil is not hard here right now. Only a foot or 2 more to dig on the 3 holes. Easy, except where its up against the tree! I want to finish this up. It will be cooler for the bunnies outside soon. Two days in a row of 80°!

Cappy, how did the bunny sales turn out ?
I never sold anything at a swap. never tried.
but I came home with plenty of "bargains".

we are getting the snow. this time the weather guy was right. 10 to 18 inches for this round.
no great warm up in the near future. looks like we will have snow until June.

Cappy, you don't get deep frost where you are, do you?
can't you just pour a little puddle of concrete in the small hole and set your post in that ? it will keep the bottom from sliding around and you will be bracing the top off of the building. plenty sturdy, I think..

Idk how deep the frost gets but i like to do a solid job. Holes are dug, what concrete i had mixed and poured. Will get more tomorrow. It started to rain shortly after we finished ( hubby helped with the 4x4s). However i checked it when i went out to shut up the chickens. It looks fine.
So all i need to do is pour more concrete and put the roofing on!

I didn't sell anything but i did post some signs inside Tractor Supply and made a contact where i went to buy hay. You don't always sell, but sometimes you sell out. No telling ahead of time. Got my exercise though!
