yesterday I took Ollie out for a ride. backbladed the driveway , one swipe out to the road, turned around and came half way back. Ollie quit, cold turkey. Annie towed me back to the garage. threw a tarp over him and went into the house. thought about what it could be. ruled out carburetor, ruled out on/off switch. must be the coil. this morning I checked the coil, yup, loose wire.
after the next two days of rain, I will take the wires off and clean them. Went to F&F today and bought a keyed on/off switch anyhow. Those push/pull switches last only a couple of seasons. this one is way overdue.
thinking hard about planting things in a few weeks. have two apple trees and two cherry trees coming. also 20 asparagus crowns.. will have to get the straw bales off of the truck and go get a yard of compost from Hsu's..pronounced Sue's .

Sounds great! I was planting peach trees and raspberries today.

How's the hips feeling?
the hips are great, No pain, no numbness anymore. It is my lower back that I have to strengthen up. It gets really sore when I walk outside where the ground is not perfectly smooth like a floor.. Time will heal all,,, I hope, I hope..
I think I am about 1 1/2 inches taller. makes balancing a challenge .. I think that is what makes the back hurt.

Changes in the hip angles makes for new stresses on the rest of the body.
You'll adjust, slowly and carefully.

Yeah Aart, I suppose so, but I am not the most patient guy on the block.
I did OK outside with the walker. It is when I am walking without assistance that I have the trouble.
I worked on Ollie this morning. The coil was the culprit . some of the threads on one of the studs are stripped off. I added a small washer to the stack of wires and that raised the nut up into fresh threads on the stud. I will have to keep an eye on it until I can find a longer nut.
Anyhow, I back bladed the driveway and put Ollie back into the garage.
Had company for awhile today. It was really nice to be able to sit outside on lawn chairs and be warmed by the sun.

Can you double nut it?

Worked a bit more on the run today, slowly but surely it will get it done. I had to make 2 trips to the dump to get rid of backed up garbage from my truck being in the shop.
A friend is going to visit me tomorrow, she wants to learn how to build so we have a day of that planned.
