I’ve been giving out my surplus eggs for several weeks, it’s been a great way to get to know my neighbors. They are just in a roadside cooler. I thought about adding a bucket of toilet paper too but I thought that was basically a prank waiting to happen.

My neighbors know I have chickens and a few have asked if I have extra eggs.
This won't be over even AFTER the stores are restocked folks. Lots and lots of people are taking a big financial hit. It is going to take a long time to recover from that.
I have a garden. I already have seeds. I am planting extras in hopes my extras help ease the coming struggles.

I am hoping it helps even if it just a little.

My husband always plants a huge garden. He does it with the intention of sharing with others. I also plan on sharing eggs once my babies start producing!

So far increased gardening, so we might be able to share. And sharing eggs we have. I have also read about making medical masks for medical personnel and at risk people, and even our own BYC at risk people. I was thinking perhaps we could get Joann fabrics to donate some elastic and even materials.

I have vegetable seeds that I'm packaging and sharing with my neighborhood to give their kids something to do and hopefully increase food production for their families!
We have a neighborhood facebook group and I just asked that whoever is interested to put their address in the comments and that I would be putting bags full of seeds on their doorstep. ❤

My mother and I are also getting supplies together to start sewing face masks that the hospitals are requesting and we're also going to offer them to those in the surrounding area that may need them.

These are the links we're basing the pattern off of because it's what the hospital is asking for but we're also looking for polypropylene fabric to put an insert for extra protection as well as a bendable nose piece.
