Helping Others During this Time of Covid 19 / Coronovirus 2020

My mother and I are also getting supplies together to start sewing face masks that the hospitals are requesting and we're also going to offer them to those in the surrounding area that may need them.

These are the links we're basing the pattern off of because it's what the hospital is asking for but we're also looking for polypropylene fabric to put an insert for extra protection as well as a bendable nose piece.

Thank you so much for this! 💞

My daughter is a nurse and her husband is a PA! He especially is on the front line. They have set up a screening station outside. My daughter took hand-warmers to him and his coworkers yesterday...so if you live in a colder climate and they are doing this, they might appreciate getting them. My daughter-in-law is also a nurse, but thank goodness she is off work as she is going to be having our first grandchild any day...what a time to be born! They all live a few hours away from us, but I can make masks and mail them! I'm also going to see if our local clinic would like masks!

I love this thread!!
I have vegetable seeds that I'm packaging and sharing with my neighborhood to give their kids something to do and hopefully increase food production for their families!
We have a neighborhood facebook group and I just asked that whoever is interested to put their address in the comments and that I would be putting bags full of seeds on their doorstep. ❤

Fantastic idea Andrea! And the packaging is so attractive. That's a nice selection of produce with some fairly easy to grow vegetables.

Congratulations on the upcoming g-baby! Everyone could use some additional joy and a new baby certainly does that.

Thanks! I was trying to pick some of the easier to grow vegetables, especially radishes since they're like instant gratification veggies, lol. Not to mention they can all be planted today if they want to because it's warm here! I'm actually really excited that so many people are responding to my post and I'm hopeful they will all be so successful that we're all trying to pawn off extra squash around the neighborhood.

Had to laugh at the "instant gratification" radishes...that's so true!

That would be cool if neighbors can swap what they end up growing. Or maybe pass along some their excess with family/friends that don't have a garden.
