Yesterday I had my chickens out in the yard because it was finally nice out and I noticed that my black-laced Wyandotte, Kuroko, was making a weird noise when she walked. I don't have any way to describe it other than it sounds like when a joint pops. It seemed to be every other step so it's possibly just one side, and it was happening most of the time but not all of the time.
She's almost 3 years old and a little butterball so she doesn't move fast to begin with, so I can't say that she's moving any slower than normal. She doesn't seem to have any problem getting up on the roosting bars at night and spends most of her time during the day up on a perch in the run.
Does anyone have any tips or advice on what I should do about this? Or any information on what I can look for to see if she's actually having a problem?
Thanks!
