I've given diluted Gatorade to sick raptors in the past with good results, but for my hen since Tuesday, I've had some vitamins that I've just dissolved and diluted in her drinking water. Have you tried the olive oil and massage treatment for crop impaction yet? I still don't know if that's what was going on with mine or if it was egg production. I've read that olive oil was good for both and calcium for the oviducts, and I think that the olive oil has really been key.
Friday she didn't want to eat even though her crop had reduced. I decided to go with a mash recipe that brought back my little dove, which is this: hard boiled egg (for the dove just the yolks, but for the hen I mashed the whites in too), corn meal, and whole milk. Make it kind of pasty/crumbly. I think before I used oatmeal too but don't have any on hand. Right now I'm just concerned to get some weight back on her and start seeing some solids move through again. Saturday she was brighter, walking, and moving some solids out. Today is even better, but the comb is still droopy and the solids are still too green for me to put her back out yet. Maybe by tomorrow.
