Hen laying clumps of shells

Calcium citrate with D3 or Tums plus a little vitamin D3 might work a little better. Foods that have D3 are tuna, salmon, egg, and plain yogurt. If extra calcium does not help after a week or so, then the problem may be with her oviduct shell gland. That can be common in some hens.

I gave the tums and d3 for the 7 days.. while giving she started laying.. not completely normal hard shell but close. She’s back to not laying again since I stopped giving tums. Can I give it to her for a while longer? Or should I be giving something else? Hoping you might have some ideas🤞

Please.. I’ve started her back on the tums with d3 as she stopped laying again. Is there something I can do long term for her? I don’t want to mess up her system giving something longer than I should…. Really appreciate your time and advice!!
