Hen not fully recovering from unknown illness

My girl is feeling good and enjoying a beautiful day with her sisters! I think she’ll be able to sleep back in the coop tonight!

Hello, all. I noticed my girl that was sick is keeping to herself more today. She didn’t eat mealworms or scrambled eggs. I did see her peck at some feed. She’s still wanting to be with the others and being vocal, probably more vocal that usual. Her comb and tail look fine. It’s super windy here, and none of them like the wind. Do you think I should bring her back in and baby her or do you think she just doesn’t like the wind?? I guess her only symptoms are not eating treats and not staying right with the others.

I did see her peck at some feed.
Did she actually eat any though? I'm always wary when they are not interested in treats and sick birds will often "pretend" to eat, but if you look closely, they sometimes pick up and drop the same piece of food and don't actually swallow anything. I would bring her back in so that you can assess her food intake and poop more closely. She clearly is not right still and if she is not happy out in the wind, there is no benefit in leaving her out there.

:)Thanks for the wisdom, once again @Eggcessive @rebrascora ! She did end up eating the scrambled eggs once she saw everyone else eating them (I had offered them just to her). She seems fine today. She prefers to spend her time on the porch, where we’ve fenced the chickens off because of all the poop. Is it possible she’s got my number and knows how to get what she wants?! Are chickens that smart? Haha! Needless to say she’s gotten lots of time hanging with me on the porch. Sorry for being an overprotective chicken mama:D!

@KikisGirls @Wyorp Rock @Eggcessive @rebrascora very sad news. My BO hen, Snowflake, that was sick is doing great but her companion, Jasmine, (barred rock) started acting ill the last few days. She’s been inside the past 2 nights and I’ve been syringe feeding her. She was alive this am and died suddenly about an hour ago. My children are absolutely heartbroken and I am still in shock. What could this be? We are also worried about how her best friend is going to handle this. So sad.
