Hen suddenly got paralisec

Well I don't know what happend to her she is the healthiest hen in my flock the day before she ate run bred layed egg but after night when I went to get them out of the coop I suddenly saw she is on the floor with yellow wattery poop in all over her vent I ran to her she is still alive but cant move at all I think she is paralised plz help sge is in pain

I'm sorry to hear about your chicken. How old is she and was she vaccinated for anything? Can she move either leg or toes? Do the droppings look like they could be egg material? Can you bring her inside and get her warm? Offer her some water with electrolytes and give her some egg, plain yogurt, and add some water to her usual feed. Feel inside her vent with a rubber glove to check for any broken egg or stuck egg.

No.while she was paralised she laid a fine egg I dont know how she is still alive she opens her eyes a little bit now but cant move

Are her wings or neck paralyzed also? Could she have eaten something dead in the yard to get botulism? Moldy feed can also cause similar paralysis. Mareks disease could also be a possibility. Can she eat or drink if you place some food in front of her? Feed her some bits of egg, and try to get her to drink, Here are some links to read about Mareks and botulism:

She died at night but in this morning amother of my healthy hen got same she was,healthy yesteday but something happens to them at night they get leg and wings paralised and she also died now even she lays egg and the other one as well only egg layers r dying plz help me help will be appritiated

Check your feed--smell it and look for mold and an off-odor. Mold can kill your whole flock or make them very sick. Botulism from eating animal remains, maggots, or rotted vegetation can kill very quickly. This can cause the neck feathers to easily be pulled out. The paralysis starts in the legs then the wings, and eventually the neck becomes paralyzed. Old lead shot found in the ground or old paint chips, chemicals, rat poison, and many other things can cause similar symptoms. You really need to look around your yard for dead animal or fish remains, block off compost beds, and I would get a new bag of feed just in case of mold. Mold can occur overnight in feed--I have had that occur, especially in scratch grains, but also in layer feed. Sorry for your loss. Remove any dead birds right away, and burn them or bury them very deeply in case of botulism.

Is that all you feed them? Do they also get layer feed / food scraps or are they allowed to free range?

If they are on a restricted diet then they could be lacking vitamins etc. that could be causing nutritional deficiencies and contributing to the problems you are seeing.

Being deficient in B12 can cause sudden leg paralysis. Get some molasses and put a small amount in the water if you can not afford nutria drench/ electrolyte solution for hens. It will give them some nutrients, but like the last post stated, they need chicken feed too to have a balanced diet. They need calcium to make strong shells and protein to make their eggs.
