I was wondering when they start laying eggs?

They will lay the spring after they hatch anywhere from 6 months to a year old. If you mean how long each year will they lay? It depends on your part of the country and year's weather and will vari from year to year. In VA mine usually start anywhere from March - May and quit around August. But I have had eggs in Dec, Jan, and Feb at different times but usually don't plan on them until April.
