Hens breeding with hens? in August?

So, I took my mallards out to their outdoor pen this morning, and they went straight to the pond as usual. Then my hen put her neck down and started talking to my "other hen" and then my "other hen" grabbed her neck and climbed on top of her! Before anything else happened, my wood duck hen came and the mallards broke apart and started to bother my woodie. The "other hen" has a little bit of runner duck in her/him. The beak of the he/she hen looks like a hen beak, so does the body.
Can somebody tell me what is happening? I'm glad nothing happened becuz i don't feel like dealing with ducklings in the winter.

Hen on hen sex is common. Ducks are extremely sexual creatures and they don't care much about the genders of their partners

You won't have ducklings as long as you collect the eggs daily. They need time to develop, plus a duck has to go broody and sit on them.
