Hens were laying, but all have stopped!?!

hey alaskan-- if you had a white heat lamp and turned it off even for a week, that might trigger a molt. If it was a red lamp, it shouldn't matter. Good luck!
 
Well, I got 4 eggs today, and 2 broken (total 6). One of the hens (or more, I hope not:rolleyes:), is breaking the eggs. They do have oyster shell in a container next to their grit, and the light is red that I turned off at night, and is know back on. I do collect twice a day, but they have stoped laying in the morning, so the only eggs I collect are at 5:30 when I get home.
How long does the molt last?
 
Do you have a lock on the hen house? Hungry neighbors can cause a drastic drop in egg production.
