I am not sure if this is the right category for this, if not I a apologize. Anyway, I bought some grown hens yesterday, and it was after dark so I didnt get a good look at them until this morning, but one of them has spurs. She doesnt have the pointy feathers like a rooster, and I scared her off the nest when I went out there, so I am pretty sure its a hen. Batteries are dead so I cant get pics at this time, but has any one else ever seen a hen with spurs??? She appears to be a barred rock mix if that helps any. Thanks in advance.

Yes, spurs do randomly occur on hens as well.

Two of my ladies have spurs; a 4 year-old EE hen and a EE/JG pullet.
