Here I go again! Gotta get somemore Buckeyes!!

I am getting ready to put the Buckeye eggs from JamesA in the bator! I am so glad I decided to get these chickens, they are wonderful.
Curious, independent, friendly and sometimes sweet. Only sometimes because they are so independent they don't come around unless they know there is food!

I have 12 eggs going into the bator that are Buckeyes and 1 Speckled Sussex from James too! What a sweetheart. They all look great and the PO didn't scramble the air cells this time.

KatytheChickenLady has one female buckeye who is beautiful and she says it's the runt! I can't wait until they are grown to see the quality because I know James has quality. If Katy considers hers the runt I can't wait to see these Buckeyes. I am enjoying them as a breed and they will be great for my meatie breeding project. Katy's is almost as broad as my Dark Cornish Hens.

A big Thank you to you James, sorry I haven't pm'd you yet--I have two of my boys b-days in 3 days and it's been busy here.

Anybody else hatching Buckeyes out there? Oh yeah Kathyinmo! Sheesh I have alot of catching up to do.

Oh yes .... I just hatched out 8 of JamesA's Buckeyes this past weekend. They seem to be quite active already. I am really excited about starting a buckeye flock!

I have ten Buckeye eggs that just went on lockdown yesterday.They are eggs from rnau (same line JamesA has).
They are all rocking and It should be a good hatch.I really like my chicks from JamesA,very friendly,affectionate
and lots of personality.

Rwoman, the best of luck with this hatch- it sounds like this breed is almost as cool as the Delawares.

Seriously, I hope you get 100%. They are such a pretty bird- are they still on the critical list?

Well, I have baby Buckeyes again.The first one just hatched so 9 more to go.4 have pips and it's gonna be another loooong night !!
It's worth it though,I love these Buckeyes.I just wish they would hatch during the day.
