My last egg hatched!!! I literally hatched it myself but after 3 days she was too tired to do it herself.
I really though I was going to lose her, but she's out, eyes are open and she's happily drying off in the incubator!
7 out of 12 is my best hatch rate ever!
I got 4 splash and 3 black/dark blue!!!
Hopefully I get a roo this time![]()
I would leave the chicks with Mom until you absolutely have to separate them. Maybe bring the broody's some fresh grass/weeds and let them show the chicks how to forage.i dont but i wanted them to come out the coop with my other older chickens , i cant let the chicks free range
ya ive started putting them in the run when (the suns out) all the other chickens are free range , if i take the chicks will they start to lay again ?I would leave the chicks with Mom until you absolutely have to separate them. Wow that's a scary thing. I'll be looking forward to pictures of your babies. That's why I ordered 36 of them....lol. 12+ from different people. The first lady sent 14. The second sent 18 (1 was busted in shipping) and I am waiting on the third set to come in. My daughter and I saw these and just had to have some. The way people talked the eggs were super small like robin eggs or so I thought. Both sets of eggs I have gotten were about the size of a silkie egg (B sized eggs) so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get a few to hatch. The problem with Seramas is that, even if you do get them to hatch, they are so fragile that they often die within the first 2 weeks.

You need to go to the store and by some Windex so you can wipe all the nose prints off the glass of your incubator.... Won't be long now!!!!![]()

Anybody know the color genetics of chicken breeding??
Like if you breed a splash x splash, what happens to the offspring? Will they still be BBS?
